Elviria is just over 35 minutes from Malaga airport. The area has over 50 golf courses, a safari park, 2 water parks, 3 marine parks and a world class zoo. There is a regular bus service from the coast which takes you to both main resorts of Fuengirola and Marbella and much further afield. There is also a train service from Fuengirola to Malaga where you can then travel onwards to Madrid, Barcelona and other major cities in Spain.
Elviria is located in the heart of the Costa del Sol. It has some wonderful sandy beaches bathed by the blue Mediterranean. It also has an abundance of restaurants, shops and other places to visit. Rub shoulders with the jet set in Puerto Banus, close to Marbella and only a 15 minute drive away or take a ride up into the mountains, enjoy the wonderful scenery and get some exercise hiking at the same time; you can even ski or snowboard in Sierra Nevada only a two hour drive from the apartment.
The area is a golfer's paradise with over 50 courses some designed by world class players such as Seve Ballesteros and Gary Player. They all have one thing in common, the fantastic sunny and dry climate which allows golfers to play all year round. You have a selection of around 10 of these golf courses within a 15 minute drive of the apartment, offering something for everyone, from the beginner to the seasoned veteran.
If it´s the food you´re interested in, try some of the local "tapas", a bite size snack you can order with your drink or some of Malaga´s famous "pescaito frito", fresh fried fish washed down with a glass of sangria.
The main area of Elviria offers a variety of restaurants, live entertainment, supermarkets and other shops and is just a 10 minute drive from the apartment. It is only 15-20 minutes by car to both of the larger resorts of Fuengirola and Marbella. There are regular local markets in the area, the nearest being La Cala which is only 10 minutes away and Nueva Andalucia which is just opposite Puerto Banus.
